This Week’s Financial Challenges: I bought one daughter’s Halloween costume at a pop-up Halloween store. We received a letter from our health insurance company, Aetna, a few weeks ago that they are leaving the Affordable Care Act exchange at the end of this year. Enough said!

And health insurance! Day two of not blogging was a casual Friday, and also the last day of work before Halloween. And I wore almost exactly the same outfit I wore for Halloween 2 years before. He started work today and when he walked out the door (45 minutes before my alarm even goes off!) my photographer went with him.

Will it be covered by insurance? Health insurance plans, including Medicare Part B, typically cover the full cost of a flu shot, and MinuteClinic accepts most insurance! The CDC recommends to get vaccinated as soon as the vaccine becomes available, ideally by October (outbreaks can happen before Halloween!).
