WIS, WWA | Black Friday

The Frugal Girl

So typically, the only brick-and-mortar store I go to the day after Thanksgiving is a grocery store. Grocery stores are wonderfully empty right after Thanksgiving! We did Thankful Thursday on Thanksgiving, and today we’re doing WIS, WWA on Black Friday. Every day, even Black Friday, is Commit Cat Crimes Day for Chiquita.

79/lb before Thanksgiving. Tuesday: We had leftover chicken with pesto sauce from Monday night so I put on top of thin spaghetti. That’s with ground turkey, not Thanksgiving turkey. Thursday: Turkey Noodle Soup using the leftover turkey from a few weeks ago. Saturday: Leftovers.

Sunday: Leftover lasagna from Saturday. Wednesday: I used the last of the leftover turkey and stock that I saved from Thanksgiving and made Turkey Orzo Soup. Thursday: Much to my family’s dismay, it’s leftover night. One daughter declared, “I hate leftover night!” It was tasty.

After feasting on turkey the week after Thanksgiving too, it’s safe to say that we’re a little tired of it. Sunday: We went out for a large lunch after church and just had leftovers for dinner. Friday: Leftover. I also made a bone stock and froze 2 (2 cup) portions of chopped meat to use later.

I still had chopped cooked turkey and homemade stock leftovers in the freezer from Thanksgiving. Thursday: Leftover night from Monday and Wednesday nights dinners. This Week’s Breakfasts, Lunches, and Snacks: For breakfast we ate eggs & toast and cereal. My most favorite dinner! I NEED YOUR HELP!
