Now we're just waiting for the perennials to grow. It has been a problem area ever since we re-did our landscaping in 2007. Doesn't mulching make a world of difference? Much more appealing. I'll fill in with some colorful annuals after Mother's Day. I also need to figure out what we are going to plant under our bay window.

When I was growing up, my ideas about money were limited. Even though we bought a house in 2007, I never once expected it to be a money-maker. If all you do is use the savings account, you’ll never grow your wealth fast enough to truly enjoy it while you are young enough to. Get a good job. Retire and work no more.

Although the positions are now (mostly) back to the 2007 levels, if I had dumped them quickly enough and then bought in after the crash I would be better off today. When my brother and I were growing up, our parents didn’t have much discretionary income. In 2007, when the kids were 8 and 13, we recreated that trip – with a travel trailer and bunks instead of a miniscule tent. I read every post, but don’t comment often – usually some of you have already made my point for me.
