I started reading The Frugal Girl back in 2010 when Kristen’s kids were still itty bitty. Besides dealing with my sudden unemployment when my oldest child was a toddler, I was hoping to figure out a way to extend my time at home with him. When the weather is nice, we love to find outdoor spaces to explore.

I won’t be offended. This is pretty much how I feel about it. So it’s going well in that I am sticking to it. This is not all that remarkable given the situation. My husband is still unemployed and I don’t really have money to spend on clothes and accessories.

She received her Master’s Degree in Finance in May, 2010. When I graduated from college, I lived in Michigan and had very little opportunity for employment (at the time, I think unemployment in our state was above 16%). Currently, there’s a flood of Master’s grads with no experience, and guess what, no employers want them!
