Aside from a health concern with one of my daughters , 2017 was a great year, however, I was distracted by non-necessities, so my overall theme for 2018 is to use my time more wisely on the people and things that are important to me. I’ll update you on my family’s financial goals for 2018 in another post. Check email.

I spent a long weekend visiting with college friends in Dandridge, Tennessee, home of Bush’s Beans. I have been using a paper planner since my early college days in the late 80’s. I learned very quickly in college that making lists and writing down important dates on a calendar kept me fairly organized and I rarely missed an assignment or deadline. I started using this brand in 2018 and have been happy with it ever since.

Did you make 2018 financial goals ? Our 2 Main Financial Goals for 2018: 1 – Finish the will. We’d like to start saving for it in 2018, if possible. The Guidelines for 2018: 1. I’d like 2018 to be the year that we clean out our clutter. 2018 Update: We’re still working on this step.

2018 Update. We still have a mortgage, however I feel like we can switch gears to be less focused on paying off debt and more focused on saving money, building our net worth and retirement, setting up a plan for college for our girls, and having some fun. 8 – Start college funds for our two girls. 1st Update in June 2014.
