I said goodbye to mini-van life in January when we traded in our 2007 Honda Odyssey for a 2018 Toyota Highlander. I talk a lot about debt freedom and that is still a goal of ours, and our Debt Freedom Plan will be adjusted. The original sticker price on the pre-owned car we bought was $14k more than what we paid.

I think I started reading FG regularly in 2018 or 2019. My husband and I bought our first home in 2013 when interest rates and housing prices were pretty low. We knew that I would likely not be working full time much longer as we wanted to start a family, so we chose a house that was in a low price range and got a 15-year mortgage.

Last summer, I hired someone to completely dismantle and remove my largest box garden and ground garden, and plant grass seed for me at a very reasonable price, especially since it took him just a few hours and it would have taken me an entire weekend. We want to be debt free. We want to travel to Disney and Hawaii.
