Aside from a health concern with one of my daughters , 2017 was a great year, however, I was distracted by non-necessities, so my overall theme for 2018 is to use my time more wisely on the people and things that are important to me. On the 25th of every month from January to November in 2019, I will hold a virtual meeting on the blog to give updates on our progress, motivate one another, and help all of us save for a cash Christmas. This should cover my tentative 2019 Christmas budget that I based on what we spent in 2018. How did you do in October?

2018 Update. Our Debt Freedom Plan (October 2019 Update): Exact numbers have been omitted at this time. The bad news is that we were in our prime earning & investing years when we stopped contributing…just more motivation to keep going with this plan. 1st Update in June 2014. 2016 & 2017 Update. We will apply half of our debt snowball amount to the home equity loan and it should be paid off by October 2017. The student loan should be paid off by the end of 2018. Pay off our home equity loan, using the snowball method by October 2017. Projected pay off date December 2018. We bought our home in 2001.
