I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. This past winter I cleaned out closets and drawers in my quest to minimize and downsize our stuff and donated everything to the thrift store, rather than hold on to it for the spring sale. As a family, we drink a lot of water. Thrifty Finds in February: I try to hit up my favorite thrift store at least once a month. I have saved so much over the years by looking at thrift stores or yard sales first before trying a regular retail store for our needs. I keep a list of things to look when thrifting.

I decided to be productive in those early morning hours and I updated our Family Balance Sheet and that’s when I realized why I was so antsy. I feel like I made a lot of trips to the thrift store to donate our stuff, but my house will tell you otherwise. This will always be a work in progress for my family. Bring it, 2020!
