Grandparenthood Can Be Expensive!

You get to enjoy all the cute moments and hand back the kid when they stink or act out! My own grandparents (members of the so called ‘silent generation’ who lived through WWI, WWII and the depression) rarely interacted with the grand kids. My parents were somewhat more interactive with their grandchildren (my kids).

We had idyllic summers of adventure--we were pirates on a tractor tire ship, we were archaeologists in the stream, and we ran a Kids'' Detective Agency to solve our neighbors'' pestering problems. I would never let my kids do that today--EWWW!)
