I’ve been an architect, day-care teacher to toddlers, and library clerk, but am currently a SAHM to a 14yo son and 9yo daughter. Another big win would be taking advantage of our great public library system. This doesn’t include the many free in-library activities we’ve enjoyed over the years. Enjoying some outdoor time.

Free/discount museum day (If you are a BofA customer, check out their free museum pass program.) The Portland Art Museum offers free admission from 5-8pm every 4th Friday of the month and it’s a great way to get a bit of culture. They just had a free admission day on May 18th to celebrate International Museum Day!

Get them from the library where movies are free if you return them on time. Many zoos, museums, art galleries offer “Discount Days” where they reduce the prices or even offer free admission. Take advantage of them. Do you watch a lot movies at the theater or rent a lot of movies through a mail order service?
