My aunt and uncle never had a lot of money to donate to their church, but every weekend they volunteered to help set up for weddings or clean up after them in the church hall. My aunt told me. on the weekends, she makes food for the week, cooks it and puts it in the fridge and/or freezer, writes it out on a piece of paper what to heat up and instructions with that. The days I do cook, Sunday for example, I hope to have enough for leftovers for another day. Kids clothes: I shop clearance.

For the clothes and shoes for my kids, I look for sales. I stocked up on several sizes for the next 2-3 years… for my daughter, last Sept, Crazy 8 had a coupon and a sale on summer clothes. actually rule of thumb : shop for kids clothes during ‘off season’ that is when you find the best sales.
