They were used to protect clothing while cooking – to keep grease splatters and spills contained on the apron. Most clothing comes out of the dryer wrinkle free. When I was a kid, most preserved food stuffs either came in a can or a glass jar. While some foods are still packed in glass, most companies use plastic now.

Food: I do a monthly menu plan. My aunt told me. on the weekends, she makes food for the week, cooks it and puts it in the fridge and/or freezer, writes it out on a piece of paper what to heat up and instructions with that. Kids clothes: I shop clearance. I saved money and have one less thing I need to shop.
