What I Spent So I went to pull together my grocery spending for the week and I realized that it’s all quick trips to Safeway. This is better than endless nights of eating out, but definitely not as frugal as an organized trip to Aldi. I spent $63 at Safeway, spread out between an embarrassing number of trips.

I spent: $50 at Safeway And that’s it! What We Ate Saturday I made French toast with berries and whipped cream… and I was lucky enough to snag the last container of whipped cream at Safeway. Tuesday I made Zoe’s fave baked ham sandwiches (mission use-up-the-ham!) Just still cloudy and damp all day.

a lunch salad from this week I spent: $71 at Aldi $6 at Safeway So, $77 for us this week. What We Ate Saturday Leftover chicken noodle soup , and I again added cream to mine. Also, I took the suggestion from one of you and added my leftover tortellini to the soup. Wednesday Leftover chili. PROBABLY NOT.

I spent: $32 at Aldi $8 at Safeway $17.50 To back up: Zoe wasn’t feeling well, so I offered to bake a frozen pizza for her. Tuesday I sauteed some ham from the freezer, then sauteed some chopped kale, then added in leftover mac and cheese plus some milk and cream. Let’s see. at Lidl $12 at Dominos So, $69.50
