I’ve been an architect, day-care teacher to toddlers, and library clerk, but am currently a SAHM to a 14yo son and 9yo daughter. After I had kids, I swapped that time to growing all sorts of interesting heirloom foods in my backyard. I was searching for ways to cut back on expenses and found this blog. Childhood joy.

My daughter completed the college program , a professional internship, and then went on to work on the conservation team at Animal Kingdom. You can read all about her experiences over at her blog Britty Loves Disney. Depending on traffic, it took my daughter 15 – 25 minutes to get to work. She had her own car.

Rent a canoe or a paddleboat and paddle around together! Stroll around the World Showcase at Epcot, sharing drinks, good food , and music along the way. Written by my daughter, Brittany. Back when I was engaged and living on my own for the first time (I lived with my parents while in grad school to save on rent), I went to the library a lot and found a copy of the Tightwad Gazette. We rent now and are much happier. People are surprised that we are in our fifties and renting, but it works for us.

Use all the food you have, and freeze it if you know you won’t use it up before it expires. Instead of seeing a movie, rent. Then I wrote a series about it on my blog. daughter’s tenth birthday. In my debt-payoff story on my blog, I shared. Or rent it from the library. Have everyone over.

I used to read intermittently before then but got a regular blog rotation going once I quit social media 3. My mother was loving and worked so hard to provide for us, but it was frequently a struggle to get food, keep heat on, and other necessities. It’s food that we have that I’ve cooked or otherwise acquired ?
