Grandparenthood Can Be Expensive!

We spoiled our children and we apparently are even more intent on doing so with our grandchildren! My parents were somewhat more interactive with their grandchildren (my kids). They provided Christmas and birthday toys and on occasion provided direct financial aid. Why are we spending more on our grandchildren?

So, great-grandma was wise in helping her grandchildren and great-grandchildren learn how to express gratitude. She is spunky and outspoken.

Occasionally, hubby and I have discussed digging a well, building an outhouse and putting in another wood stove and I have on rare occasion considered buying a generator. Give cash gifts to my adult children with suggestions to buy in the down market. Most likely that is as far as I will go.

You could run up to New Hampshire to get a ticket (which I did on occasion, because it really wasn’t very far from where I lived), but I still never won more than $5. I will make sure that my grandchildren have a college fund that is untouchable until then or until 30 if they don’t go to college (that’s right - 30 ).
