Hang clothes to dry. We live in the city, so we’re not allowed to hang our laundry outside. Instead, we have two large clothes drying racks in the basement. Creating clothing requires a lot of natural resources. Instead of having oodles of clothes, our family is minimizing our wardrobes. Conserve utilities.

In 2015 I’m challenging myself to rethink purchases by taking advantage of more cost effective solutions like borrowing, buying second hand, or just making do with what we already have. I need spring clothes and I always find the cutest name brand tops at BJ’s at decent low prices.

However, there are simple things we can do every day that help Mother Earth by using less energy, sending less trash to the land fills, and conserving our natural resources.
