I buy only organic and thanks to the great tips and tricks about couponing that I learned from sites like Couponing101.com Health-e Savers and Delicious Living Magazine also provide a bunch of printable organic coupons and Whole Foods also has printable store coupons on their site. Many offer 10% off if you buy a case of a product.

I’ve been an architect, day-care teacher to toddlers, and library clerk, but am currently a SAHM to a 14yo son and 9yo daughter. At age 12, I started saving up my allowance and babysitting money to buy Christmas gifts for other children who were less fortunate. There are a number of benefits to cooking at home beyond just improving your health and saving money. My son is 10, and we began basic cooking lessons last year. My husband and I frequently prepare meals together, with our son doing his part as well — even if it’s just tearing up lettuce for salad and setting the table.

My grown son and his wife accompanied us on a day trip several years ago. My son whipped out his credit card to pay for their meal and was stopped cold when he found out the place didn’t take credit. Saving up to buy what I want has turned out to be fun – the anticipation is a large part of the enjoyment.
