And Zoe picked up some dinner on the way home from work. Obviously, you could give the gift card as a gift, but you could also use it as you buy Christmas gifts. Saturday I made whole wheat blueberry pancakes because I had been craving them, but my morning had been too rushed to do something like pancakes. I love blueberry pancakes!

And when Zoe got home from work, she had a frozen pizza. Thursday I got some leftover Christmas ham out of the freezer and made baked sandwiches with that. It’s usually sandwiches or tacos with me!) Zoe fended for herself. ? I got a bowl of ramen (with an extra soy-marinated egg, thank you very much) and Zoe got a sushi burrito.

I like coupons, but I am not the home manager who buys $200 worth of groceries for $4.35. Menu Plan As I have written before, groceries are the one category that I feel like I have the most control over when it comes to spending. When I plan a menu, my spending is generally under control.
