My grandson gets to play various instruments in his 3 rd grade music class, without having to purchase them. Garage sales – I found a guitar for $5.00 once at a garage sale and bought it for my grandson. Find A Used Instrument. Pawn shops – there are even some that specialize in musical instruments.

Many of the other items I needed like cloth diapers and clothes for the baby in bigger sizes I bought from garage sales. Then, my friends pay for baby and me exercise classes so they can get out of the house, make friends, and get some exercises. They may also enroll in other baby classes like music and swim lessons.

Free Local Classes. Many gyms and fitness classes offer free events for the public. This might be a complimentary 2 week trial membership, or simply a free class. Check out local thrift stores, Craigslist ads, and garage sales for low cost (and sometimes free!)

Type in ‘sewing’ into your search engine and you will get a tremendous number of results, all the way from companies selling sewing machines, patterns, and material, to blogs, class offerings, books, magazines, videos and events! You had to have taken classes or learned to sew somehow, which also took time.
