Spring is a wonderful time of year, but with spring comes spring cleaning. I actually enjoy the thought of spring cleaning. There is something about the thought of being organized and starting a season off on the right (clean) foot that is satisfying. For example, cleaning your gutters is not pleasant in the cold of the winter.

Gap and Goodwill have announced a partnership encouraging consumers to clean out their closets for a cause…and for those of you that are like me and hate throwing things out, this is the perfect opportunity! I already have my eye on this jacket, this blouse and this nude dress…so start cleaning and then start shopping!!

We have become addicted to the term “antibacterial&# and use hyper strong chemical pollutants to clean our homes. Donate $1 or $2 towards the cause. Or, buy gifts from organizations that donate proceeds to green causes. You see, in order to be green, we need to be conscious consumers. So what can you do?

There are several reasons for this: You are teaching them responsibility They will appreciate the process They know best where they want things to go It makes your workload lighter (in theory) Involving your kids in the cleaning process gives them a chance to appreciate just how heavy and laborious the cleaning process can be.

No matter which choice consumers make IZZE or IZZE Fortified, the taste is the same. IZZE will donate 50 cents to the Children’s Miracle Network for EVERY variety pack sold at Costco in May. IZZE will be donating a total of $50,000 to the charity. The only difference is that IZZE Fortified is enhanced with vitamins.

With more than 1,200 consumers expected to be in attendance, Colgate® hopes to create healthy and happy smiles by making a donation to Make-A-Wish® for every “swish” of mouthwash. Colgate® will kick off this event with a donation of $50,000 to Make-A-Wish®. Make sure to RSVP on their Facebook page that you’ll attend!

Whatever is left unclaimed at the end of the evening gets donated. When designers need to clear out the previous season’s merchandise and sell clothing that didn’t make the final production cut, they’ll slash prices, making it at least somewhat more affordable for the average consumer. Spend the evening trying on eachothers’ discards.
