If you know this in advance, you can pack less, knowing you’ll be able to do laundry, especially if you have young children who go through a LOT of clothes! Hotels often have more amenities than Airbnb, such as complimentary breakfast, fitness centers, and evening receptions. Be loyal to your favorite hotel brand.

School is in session ; and that means time to get your school supplies, supply for the classes and as a teacher, as much as you all do for teaching our precious kids, we want to help out as much as we can — including many stores that offer discount travel, school supplies, clothes, or food, these stores get extra credit with teachers.

We requested a crib from our Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Although you can always ask for a crib or pack ‘n-play when staying at a Disney hotel, they are not guaranteed. Packing-wise, I plan to include the following: Bottles and burp clothes I am somewhat neurotic when it comes to washing bottles. Baby sunglasses.

Back when I was engaged and living on my own for the first time (I lived with my parents while in grad school to save on rent), I went to the library a lot and found a copy of the Tightwad Gazette. We rent now and are much happier. People are surprised that we are in our fifties and renting, but it works for us.

The happy result of this is that our venue was substantially cheaper than even renting out a hall. The use of the tables came with the venue and while they are certainly not fancy tables, we will be covering them with table cloths anyway. The fact that the camp has tables will save us upward of $120.

My mom cut coupons and sewed her own clothes and mine, as well. When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. Campsites are cheaper than hotel rooms, and because we can carry our own food with us, we don’t spend as much on restaurant meals.
