While I am not that thrifty, and I love prettily wrapped gifts, I don’t like to spend a bunch on wrappings. Use paper drop cloth to wrap. I bought a roll in 2011 and have been using it for everything from Christmas wrap to kid crafts to posters to mailing packages every since. Use paper from other sources.

Learn to hem and patch and sew on buttons to repair minor issues with clothing. Learn how to remove spots and do it as soon as the clothing gets dirty. Buy good clothing, used. Avoid buying cheap clothing new. Pass down serviceable clothing from child to child. Use up your food. Plan uses for your leftovers.

I used an old seat cushion I had and wrapped it with brand new material from another garage sale to pretty it up and make it softer, then stacked new throw pillows I found at yet another sale for $.50 That is what this is.
