While I am not that thrifty, and I love prettily wrapped gifts, I don’t like to spend a bunch on wrappings. I bought a roll in 2011 and have been using it for everything from Christmas wrap to kid crafts to posters to mailing packages every since. Shop garage sales and thrift stores and estate sales.

I used an old seat cushion I had and wrapped it with brand new material from another garage sale to pretty it up and make it softer, then stacked new throw pillows I found at yet another sale for $.50 I’ll keep it until the grand-kids outgrow it and then try to sell it for the same amount. That is what this is.

A good deal on a big bag of fresh lettuce isn’t thrifty if you can’t use it up before it rots. There have been countless times I have seen nearly new, decorator pieces being sold for pennies on the dollar at garage sales because the homeowner decided to re-decorate. Avoid re-decorating your home every few years.
