I’ve been letting the points sit there, so when I got an email from Citi letting me know about a points sale, I logged on to see what I could snag. I made a use-it-up dinner I haven’t done a proper grocery shop since I got home from Hawaii, so I have been scrounging a bit. but at least I got the ball rolling.

I have been doing my grocery shopping at a different GIANT store and I’m finding that they always have a lot of marked-down meat. Over the years, I have found money through rebates, refunds, and online sales. In the grand scheme of college funding, $200 is a drop in the bucket, but I always appreciate free money.

GIANT Food Stores of PA has been part of my weekly grocery shopping routine for years. In fact, their corporate buying office is in my hometown and I worked there while I was in college. I am very familiar with the store, its pricing strategy, its setup, and how to save and stretch my grocery budget dollars.

Send your spouse to do the grocery shopping. When you do need something, shop with a friend that won’t let you go overboard. You go weekend e-baying, garage-saling or to the flea markets. Buy this for the college kid off to see the world alone. I chose this stone color, but it also comes in black (which is on sale for Black Friday). for a set of two There are a lot of places who no longer have shopping bags when you travel. It fits over the lock inside the door jamb.
