My composting adventures all started about 9 years ago when our local Penn State Cooperative Extension office offered a free composting bin (the round one in the picture) when you attended their free composting seminar. I have a system going, but I am a laid back composter. So what did I learn at the seminar?

By keeping in mind the entire life-cycle of the products we buy and throw away, we can all do our part to reduce or eliminate waste from our life. Glass or metal can last a lifetime should you wish to reuse either one and are better recycling material than plastic is. Shredded paper can be put in compost piles.
