How to Cut a Coconut

Run the coconut meat through the small shredder of my food processor. If you want a finer shred, try pulsing the shredded coconut using the blade of the food processor. I tossed the whole coconut in the compost. If you have compost, be sure to throw the husk into it. Use a vegetable peeler to remove the soft brown layer.
