Growing up, I remember my mom always sending me out to the composting bin with a bucket full of (what I thought was) gross bits and pieces of food waste. I remember opening the lid of our composting bin and what felt like a billion wasps, bees, and fruit flies coming out of the bin. I love seeing the worms and bees in the compost.

My hubby and I are a dual income family living in a suburban home, but we are not your typical family. Household changes we’ve made : Switched from chemical cleaners to homemade phosphate and eco friendly ones. Compost kitchen scraps. Switched from chemical personal care products to homemade chemical free ones.

You can also freeze homemade meals, including soups, casseroles and other items. There are numerous items that can be used in a container garden. You can re-use newspapers and other items as garden mulch. Compost kitchen waste to feed your garden. Pay Attention to Packaging. You can do the same. Go Green'

Garden Stepping Stone Craft Kits Hobby Lobby had several versions of kits to create a stepping stone. The most expensive was around $20.
