And the first item on the list was a new dresser for our younger daughter. Two drawers of her dresser pretty much disintegrated over the holidays and the poor girl was living out of plastic tubs until we found a replacement. I checked some local furniture stores to check the prices of new dressers. He has no qualms about much.

We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Decorate for the next fall holiday with it. My daughter-in-law came up with this idea, buying bulk pumpkins and bulk flowers. No kids = no parties or haunted houses = money saved. Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes.
