I was doing something I do not do much : Travel. Budgeting sort of happened, except for the hotel. I did avoid eating breakfast at the hotel since they said it was $14.00 I bought my daughter’s last year at Justice. I went from Georgia to Detroit to visit family, drove there on my own with my kids. And drove back.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, we headed to the Big Apple to see a Broadway show with my daughters’ Girl Scout troop and their families. We left on Friday night and stayed at a hotel in New Jersey and took a bus into the city on Saturday morning. Have you been to New York City with your kids? Tell us all about it in the comments.

They keep the bathhouses somewhat clean, but it is a campground, not a high end hotel. If you have a travel trailer, you might not hear too much, but we hear everything in the popup. Cape May Point : You can see the lighthouse in the pic below poking out between my daughters.

Our daughter is 24 and was adopted from Eastern Europe when she was one week short of a year old. He married the love of his life almost two years ago, so now we have a daughter-in-law, too. My daughter will need her car while working at Disney, so we’ll be driving two cars on the way down. Food/Drink While Traveling – Less than $20.00. It saves us a ton of money both while we travel and at Disney. Since we’ll be on the dining plan at Disney, we’ll only have food costs while we’re traveling. Gas = $350.

Old Faithful Inn and Lake Yellowstone Hotel are both wonderfully historic structures and both offer free guided tours. We brought a bottle of wine and a picnic supper and shared it on the deck facing the Old Faithful Geyser at Old Faithful Inn (on the second level)… WOW. Can you tell I like the historic park lodges?
