Like many across the globe, my family’s finances are a bit unstable due to the Coronvius Pandemic. My second prayer is that my family gets through this crisis financially. Our only spending going forward will be for essentials, such as our mortgage, utilities, groceries, our Medi-Share premium , and fuel for the cars.

We’ve seen higher grocery and fuel bills lately, so we’re upping our frugal game to help the budget. Winner Winner FREE Chicken Dinner! Once again, GIANT of PA offered a chicken dinner with 3 sides and rolls for only 350 gas points. I use my plasma money for special treats for my family and me.

Assign a budget category to each transaction, so you can add up what you spend on food, fuel, clothing, self-care, etc. Our active life goes on, so I will be planning a nice eat-at-home dinner with a special sweet treat, rather than eating out. Invite friends over for a potluck/game night, instead of going out to dinner.

Plus you'll find a bunch of food vendors outside to fuel your shopping venture. I used my birthday as an opportunity to check out Sippin' On Sixth, which is a tiki pop-up through the end of the year that has tiki drinks, brunch, lunch, dinner, and specialty events. We go every year and find all new local artist to follow.

Every year, we split the rent on a beach condo with other family members to make a week away affordable for everyone involved. Sit down with your family and brainstorm what everyone''s expectations will be while on vacation. We travel with my extended family, so my mom and I will sit down before the trip and talk about a meal plan.
