Ways to Make Do With What You Have

Donate good clothing you really can’t use to a non-profit and bank the tax deduction. Buy dried milk to use in cooking – especially if you aren’t a regular milk drinker. Darn the holes in your socks instead of throwing them out. Pass down serviceable clothing from child to child. Use up your food.

How to Become an Earth Friendly Consumer

Donate $1 or $2 towards the cause. If you have items you aren’t using, recycle them or give them to someone who can reuse them. Or, buy gifts from organizations that donate proceeds to green causes. We can’t just recycle our milk jugs but then go buy chemical house cleaners or synthetic fabrics.
