Some of the appliances that you need to pay extra attention to include the fridge (clean the coils), the dryer (inspect the lint filter regularly), and the air-conditioner (perform regular clean-ups).

Nothing will sap your energy efficiency faster than a dryer vent that has never been cleaned or refrigerator coils with baked on grease and cat hair. - While I don’t measure recyclables, I do keep track of how much trash I dispose of each week. It gives you that much more incentive to do even better next month!

Obviously, an easy recyclable item, it can also be used to make many fun crafts and other clever ideas. Save your dryer lint and pack it within a roll. And lastly, it’s much more efficient to batch cook meals and freeze what you don’t need that day since you’ve only got the oven on once as opposed to multiple times. Line dry clothes.
