Friday Casual Wear

Work With What You've Got

This is about as casual as I get. I like my tees basic. I’m not a huge fan of graphic tees. I like a band tee here and there, mostly vintage and I occasionally find a graphic tee that I like, but it’s very rare. I prefer plain, because I like to accessorize, and I think that’s just cleaner with a plain tee. I designed a few new things last week, and these earrings are one of them.

Jessica Kagan Resin Bangles

I saw these resin bangles when they first hit the scene a few years back in ivory and black…and while I thought they were cute, they definitely weren’t worth the $100 price tag! Well now Jessica Kagan has come out with a new version for the summer in an assortment of starburst colors like Cobalt, Fucshia, Yellow and Green and with some cute-sy sayings like… “Toto I feel like we’re not in Kansas anymore&# …&# We’ll always have Paris…and “All t

Dear CheapChica

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

I’m absolutely in love with two-finger, or double, rings. I saw it first on Lauren Conrad, although she has a name plate double ring and I am more interested on the more simple, elegant kind. I have been looking everywhere for them! Do you have any clue on where the cheap versions of this fab ring are hiding? Any insight would be much appreciated!!

Look for Less: Tiffany Keys

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

From the day this collection debuted, I’ve been kind of obsessed…I love the vintage quality about these keys and I love the idea of layering several of them together! Unfortunately, the most affordable key from Tiffany is $125 and that only gets you a simple sterling one. And while that’s a nice start, you really need the combination of a gold one and the bling-y ones to complete you collection.

As you all know, I love nothing more than a great buy, but what makes a great buy even better is when I can pair it with multiple things in my closest to create even more looks…it works something like that exponent thing they taught you in High School but applied to something much more fun that Math…CLOTHES!! I just picked up this adorable yellow skirt at F21 for only $13.80 because I know I can pair it with several tops I already own!

I think Blake Lively looked just lovely at the CFDA awards this week! She can oftentimes be a red carpet don’t, but she looks absolutely stunning in this ultra-hot pink number by Michael Kors! I saw this color all over the Fall runways back in February and I’m so excited to see the color transition to the red carpet…and based on some of the fun finds I found below, it’s also made it’s way to your local retailers!

Look for Less: Jessica Biel

Let me just start by saying that I’m not a huge fan of Jessica Biel…I think she frowns way too much for someone that gets to share a bed with Justin Timberlake! Old People Hated It

Work With What You've Got

The old people at Luby’s hated this outfit. I had one of those really strange experiences where I got a ton of dirty looks right in a row and all I did was walk from my table to the bathroom and back. They were either not a fan of the outfit or me in general; and I am a nice girl, so I blame the outfit. I liked it though. I got this pendant at a second hand store, and I love it.

Amber Rose-Look for Less

I am so "IN LOVE" with Amber Rose. Her whole style is off the charts. I chose to recreate this look because of the play on the feminine/masculine demeanor. The ensemble is very unstated with just the oversized man khakis, sneakers, and white v-neck tshirt. I love pushing the envelope just a bit and this is a perfect example. Comfort and Fashion are always my priority, Does anyone Agree?

Love Love Love this outfit. It’s been a while since I said it so I’ll just mention again that the American Apparel deep v tri-blend tee is a great investment. It’s a little pricy for a tee shirt, but it’s so flattering on almost everyone, and so versatile. It looks just as great with jeans and flip flops as it does with a dressy skirt and heels. Boring. But Apparently Flattering.

Honestly, I felt like this outfit was so boring I was not even going to post it. Mostly for fear of putting you to sleep.
