It would have pleased my folks if I had accepted and it would have helped our finances out too! Although we kept our automobiles for 8 – 10 years, I bought most of them new AND never dickered with the car salesman. Over the years, I made it pretty plain that I was going to stand on my own two feet and not accept parental help.
