For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). How long have you been reading The Frugal Girl? I know I found The Frugal Girl through the Non-Consumer Advocate, and I’ve read nearly all the archives.

How long have you been reading The Frugal Girl? I started reading The Frugal Girl about two years before I escaped from the workforce, which was almost eight years ago. My biggest financial regret is the amount of money we spent on restaurant meals from the time we were married and both working full time to when we had kids.

In my free time I enjoy canning and preserving food (well, I enjoy the results of it, ha!), How long have you been reading The Frugal Girl? We knew that I would likely not be working full time much longer as we wanted to start a family, so we chose a house that was in a low price range and got a 15-year mortgage.

How long have you been reading The Frugal Girl? Years — I can’t remember how I found Kristen, but ages ago I spent a lot of time reading The Simple Dollar and Get Rich Slowly, which I loved back then before they were sold. That there’s always still time to become more frugal. Your results are so impressive.

Alayna had a vision to write a book that might help other teenage girls struggling with body image or eating disorders, but she was only 18 at the time. She had to keep her “why” in mind every time she sat down to write in order to let go of the fear. She had to think about the other girls and women this book might inspire.

How long have you been reading The Frugal Girl? The Frugal Girl is one of the few blogs whose URL I have memorized, so I’ve never missed an entry! For me, being in the kitchen and making food for people is an act of love. The summer after 5th grade, we were living in Grand Forks, ND, population 50,000 at the time.

We live in Richmond, Virginia, and have two of the best girls: McKayla, 10, and Shayne, 6. works in outbound sales, and I teach part-time. We want our girls to have an. working full time at a low-paying job and going to grad school full time, while my husband was working multiple jobs just to help us make ends meet.
