He made enough money, in fact, that he was able to purchase a 40 acre plot of land at age 14, which he then rented to the local farmers in the area. Once he purchased it and rented it to the farmers, he didn’t have to do a thing! This way, there will be no repeated questions and your time will be yours again.

We live in Richmond, Virginia, and have two of the best girls: McKayla, 10, and Shayne, 6. works in outbound sales, and I teach part-time. We want our girls to have an. working full time at a low-paying job and going to grad school full time, while my husband was working multiple jobs just to help us make ends meet.

For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). How long have you been reading The Frugal Girl? I know I found The Frugal Girl through the Non-Consumer Advocate, and I’ve read nearly all the archives.

How long have you been reading The Frugal Girl? I started reading The Frugal Girl about two years before I escaped from the workforce, which was almost eight years ago. When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. So, maybe around 2014?
