For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). He pointed out that I had studied sculpture and this was sort of similar, so I used a pair of office scissors and cut his hair a week before our wedding.

When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. We knew it would be a balancing act, so we were working on saving money long before the wedding. He diligently maintained our car and our house, doing all the work himself. Alan doesn’t share that regret.
