Garage sale and thrift store furniture bargains abound. The toy ice cream table and chairs from my Mom’s childhood have an iron frame, which I stripped and spray painted. It had way too many coats of paint on it to ever be pretty again otherwise. But there are ways to save – consider used furniture.

We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes. Dad’s old cowboy hat and a rope from the garage can be the start of a cowboy get up. What do you do to recycle/reuse on Halloween? Buy one then sell, donate or exchange it.
