Years ago, Mom introduced me to the idea of going to garage sales. People sell the darnedest things at their garage sales. Garage sales take time, you have to hit quite a few before you find the item you want or need. I look for the neighborhood sales, which are usually either in spring or fall.

We want toys, especially toys that aren’t multi-purpose, to be kept to a minimum. While I appreciate the thought, those toys don’t get used often, and I feel bad donating them or giving them away. If something is cheap at a garage sale, I may buy it even if I’m not sure that I’ll use it.

Cradles, cribs, play pens, changing tables, strollers, high chairs, diapers, diaper bags, car seats, baby clothes and TOYS TOYS TOYS and more TOYS. Some get stuff from stores, the less financially favored head for thrift stores, garage sales, Mom’s house or the trash pickup routes.

I got brand new clothes , a stroller, a playpen, toys, blankets, the list goes on and on. Many of the other items I needed like cloth diapers and clothes for the baby in bigger sizes I bought from garage sales. They did not have a large toy room with so many toys they don’t know what to play with.
