I have a grandmother who would never dream of buying containers to store leftovers or food for the freezer. I use recycled jars to store baking goods (those blue Ball jars were a yard sale find), leftovers, matches, Q-tips, cotton balls, and office supplies. They can be used for storing anything and not just in the kitchen.

All I had to do was what my grandmother had taught me. I also have ‘rainy day’ cash in an envelope that I put in a ‘small safe’ (you can get them via amazon.com) or Office Max. For the clothes and shoes for my kids, I look for sales. I wait for the good sale. and the sale) that lasts 2 to 3 weeks.

I’m having dinner tonight with friends I have not seen in a long time and we are going straight from the office to dinner so I’ll be in this for a while, which is why I went with cozy. for a quarter!
