If you like saving money, haggling for a better price should become a habit for you, a habit that can easily save you thousands of dollars over the next 10 years. The deal is simple: Collect everything you don’t use anymore Choose a Saturday or Sunday (weekends work best) Put up a yard sale sign on your front lawn Let the neighbors or passersby give you their money for your old stuff When I say “old stuff,” I exaggerate a little. Although I feel generally successful in my working career, there are some moves that hurt my ability to earn more, better my job satisfaction and advance faster. Instead of trying to work after college graduation at a real career, I took a retail sales management trainee job. Yes I worked on the conversions, but on a sideline project.

You also want to test the items to make sure that they work, and you should be prepared to offer a much lower price if they do not work. You want to price everything, and you want to be prepared to lower those prices when people start to haggle. No one wants to buy something only to find out later that it does not work.
