Recycling is great for the environment and we should all be doing it (in spite of my title), but reusing is even better. When you can reuse or re-purpose an item, you are not only saving it from the landfills, but you are also saving the expense and energy which would have been expended when you recycle. The first is to recycle leftover food, grass cuttings, and fallen leaves that might ordinarily end up in a landfill. The second is supplementary to the first–you use the compost as fertilizer. There are many ways to store the compost until it’s ready to use. It’ll be easy to turn and use.

We have accumulated a lot of stuff – lose screws, highly prized collectibles, everyday essentials, clothes that ‘might fit again someday’, tools, children’s artwork, food stuffs and more. Store things where you use them. Put seldom used things in those hard to reach places.
