Well, that’s important to remember in times like these. My kids (2&5) are finally at the stage of wearing out shoes before outgrowing them. My parents just cleaned scuffs off of white leather school shoes, but I’m struggling to find anything that will last more than a few months. Back to the topic at hand.

They’re covered with a skin-like material, and the lab techs can just rinse them out after use so that the next group can use them as well. Can you talk about your shoes?? The idea is to make a shoe that is a bit more foot-shaped than most athletic shoes. I have wide feet and love the look of that toe box!

Shoes are expensive. If you can make your shoes last longer, you can tuck away the savings in that rainy day fund. Growing up in the 1950′s, people judged you by the state of your shoes. If your shoes were dirty, scuffed and dull with run down heels, they thought twice about offering you that job. Waterproof.

Choose Two Shoes are the biggest challenge of everyone’s travel bag, it seems. Other than those, two pair of shoes is all you need. When your destination is projected to be cool, a pair of comfortable boots and another pair of walking shoes are going to be your best bet.

Well, I’ve had this pair since 2017, and the wear is getting beyond my repair capabilities. Like…the soles are wearing down, and I’ve worn the inside lining by the heel so thin, there’s not a lot of material left between my foot and the outside of the shoe! What frugal things have you been up to?

I wore my repaired shoes yesterday It was much nicer to walk to and from the parking garage with intact heel tips. ? And it DID work pretty well! I would not wear those with a skirt (ha) but under my pants, they worked fine. And on the upside, they never slide down the way that knee-high version do.
