You aren’t responsible for teaching them to behave like human beings. We spoiled our children and we apparently are even more intent on doing so with our grandchildren! My parents were somewhat more interactive with their grandchildren (my kids). Why are we spending more on our grandchildren? Our kids need the help.

Although I live 200+ miles away from my two grandkids, I try to get them for a week or so during the summer. There are many documented benefits to utilizing grandparents to watch grandkids. Parents may get a break on child care expenses, after all, most grandparents won’t charge market price for their services.

When she saw that her great-grandchildren were not writing thank you notes for her gifts to them, she sent their parents a set of Thank you note cards with envelopes and postage! Focusing on the negatives in a situation (even when that situation is very dire) doesn’t help you much. She is spunky and outspoken.
