That was the year that we made the goal of paying off the last of our non-mortgage debts and we achieved it by September of that year. <<— Once we paid off our non-mortgage debts in 2019, we started saving some of the debt snowball money for college savings.

We just finished paying off our non-mortgage debts and now we were considering taking out a car loan. Update our Debt Freedom Plan to reflect lessons learned during this crisis.
