That was the year that we made the goal of paying off the last of our non-mortgage debts and we achieved it by September of that year. <<— Once we paid off our non-mortgage debts in 2019, we started saving some of the debt snowball money for college savings.

The backstory: In November 2019, my van was in need of new tires and I was debating on whether to get the new tires or start looking for a replacement vehicle.
