Did you make 2023 financial goals ? We decided on one big audacious financial goal for the year, and it’s a doozy! The last time we wrote numbers-driven financial goals was 2019. That was the year that we made the goal of paying off the last of our non-mortgage debts and we achieved it by September of that year.

I wanted to reduce our non-mortgage debt, my clutter, my distractions, my impact on the environment, and my consumption of sweets. I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. In January 2020, we booked round-trip flights to Paris for the four of us. This trip was a reward for our years of paying off six figures of debt , and we were going to pack a lot into our week. Whew, got all of that!

We’ve had an Aflac Accident plan for many years and have never needed it until the fall of 2020 when we used it twice. I donated plasma 5 times in March which is short of my goal of 8 times.
