I cried for days and we celebrated the occasion with a family cruise a few months later. In 2020, our financial goals were to read, research, and understand both college and retirement planning. Our oldest is a junior in high school and college becomes reality in the fall of 2024. College is crazy expensive right now.

We celebrated both occasions with a family cruise that we paid for with cash. In January of 2020, we made summer plans (and bought airline tickets) to go see friends who moved to Europe. Once the time came, as a family, we decided on a cruise over Thanksgiving instead of Disney. Start college funds for our two girls.
