In September 2019, my husband and I accomplished our biggest financial goal in our almost 20 years of marriage. We have thought about moving to a larger home with more space, but a smaller home means lower utility bills, homeowners’ insurance premiums, maintenance, and property taxes. We moved the goal post multiple times.
