For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). My husband is an extremely hard worker as he works and goes to school full time. Renting, not having super nice furniture or cars, having mismatched dishes and bedding. We started cooking at home more, a big issue for us was eating out. So we would cook at home and take leftovers for lunch the next day.

My parents were married for 7 years before having kids, and during that time they both worked – my dad is an engineer, and my mom’s a nurse, so they made pretty good money! They had me, and then my mom decided to go back to school full-time and get a PhD.
